Here are some quick steps to get the first time blogger on a successful start to blogging.

Become a Successful First Time Blogger in Five Steps

Well it’s no big surprise that in today’s world blogging has become one of the easiest ways to earn some big money online while improving our writing abilities.

I though since I have spent the last 3 years freelance writing for Triond, Bukisa and Associated Content that this week I would give a try blogging and joined Blogger. So far I got 2 blogs going and one is doing really well and the other I just started today and I’m hoping it’s going to be my baby!

If you’re like me and have decided you want to try your hand in blogging then the first step is coming up with a blogging topic. After following these easy steps you will be up and running within in an hour and making money.

Step 1:
As stated above, your first goal is to come up with an interesting blogging topic that will catch a reader’s eye or interest if they come by it. After you have done that, the Blogger account set up will ask you to come up with a web address name. Try to get the name as close to the title of the blogs if possible.

Step 2:
In this step all you have to do is follow the set up directions on Blogger and pick a template and if you want customize the colors and back ground. You can also choose your layout of your blogs and how everything in the end will look.

Step 3:
Now you will have to add your Google Adsense ad which is easily done through the directions on the site and can be found by clicking any of the word in this article. If you don’t have Google Adsense then you better open an account because you won’t get paid for the advertising every other Blogger does get paid for. I heard you might be able to use another advertising site I think called “Adbrite” but I have never used me so don’t quote me on that.

Step 4:
Now this is the fun part you get to start blogging. If you’re in your profile or looking at your newly published blogs just look for the design button or post button and you will be taken to the post screen. Here are a few tips that should keep people reading your blogs instead of passing it by. Again have interesting topics and posts, try to do your best to have as few spelling mistakes as possible so you look professional, don’t make promises you can’t keep so to speak, try to use some humor to add a personal touch and just enjoy yourself and the words will come flying out.

Step 5:
Now if your blogging for fun or to make money either way you will need to advertise your blogging site in order to bring a following in. There are many ways to do this but if you’re using Google Adsense you have limited options. For example, if you are blogging for fun then you can pretty much advertise your blogging account where you want as long as you’re not spamming people. You can use traffic rotation sites to bring in views or PTC sites which are only 2 options

If you’re using Google Adsense then you must be careful not to use any of the above options I mention because they could get your Adsense account close down. Many sites that pay you for something frown at that practice because it’s considering cheating the system since you paid for page views and clicks.

You can use Facebook, Myspace and many other sites to advertise your work if you get creative you will be surprise how fast you’re earning will grow.

The great thing about blogging is you can literally write about anything you want because there is a crowd out there that will like your work. All got to do is writing and find them. So if you not a Blogger why not try your hand at it because never know you might be really good and could make a lot of money from it if you work it the right way. What do you have to lose? It’s free to join Blogger and Google Adsense so there is no possible risk.
