A moment of peace before the day’s hurly burly.

Caught
In that delicious moment
When the world
Is a soft gray

The sun
Not yet intruding
Harsh light to point up
Moments of unacceptable
Jagged reality.

Caught
In striped and buzzing
Feline love; No thought
Beyond the moment.

Orange marmalade
Snugged upon my pillow
Gentle strenth guarding
Through the night.

Blanketed by tabby
Soft and silken as any
Fine woven silk, spiked
With finger nips.

Caught
In this moment
Before I go earn
Their kitty kibbles.

I love the quiet moments the best and when they are shared with our animals it’s all the better. Miss you, Daisy. Hope you are back soon.
