Everyone in America has a favorite TV show that they watch on a regular basis.  In fact, most people will name at least one sitcom that they watch religiously every week.  Over the years, there has been numerous sitcoms that have come and gone with a select few standing out in most people’s minds.  Personally, the three shows that stand out for me have been Seinfeld, Married With Children, and Friends.  I would put these three shows as the best of the best when it comes to sitcoms.  Below is a brief snapshot of each show and how I would rank them:

1.)  Seinfeld — George, Kramer, Elaine and Jerry made up this show (along with Newman).  Show was centered around “nothing”.  The group would just be in everyday situations with comedic spins.  Very clever and hilarious episodes each week…I do not remember too many that were not funny the entire episode.  My ranking for this show is the BEST of all time. 

2.)  Married With Children– One name sums this show up: Al Bundy.  Show was centered around the Bundy family along with their neighbors the Darcies.  Main characters included Al, Peggy, Kelly, Bud, Marcy, Steve Rhoads, and Jefferson.  The show was mainly about Al selling shoes and then coping with his wife and kids and neighbors when he came home.  Very funny episodes with very little of them being not funny the entire show.  My ranking of this show is Second Best of all time. 

3.)  Friends– Joey, Phoebe, Chandler, Monica, Rachel and Ross make up the cast in this show.  Show was centered around 6 close friends living in New York City and coping with everyday life with careers, dating, healthcare and pretty much everything else.  Very funny episodes with once again very very few being not funny entire show.  My ranking for this show is Third Best of all time.

Well, there you have it, my suggestions for the three best sitcoms of all time.  I know I will hear lots of disagreements with this list but they are my favorites.  Others shows which were also very funny and would make the top 10 would be Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Gilligans Island, Roseanne, and Frazier to name a few.
