Have you ever noticed that you don’t feel as good when you receive a gift as when you give one and see the joy?
This is where the Bible comes. Well, to tell you the truth, Bible comes in everywhere as it is an instruction to this life on earth. Have you ever wondered why it doesn’t feel good to borrow but it feels good to lend? Or why does it feel better to help others rather than being helped? Or why it doesn’t feel as good when you’re receiving a gift rather when you are giving one? The Bible talks about that and I wanted to share with all of you on what the Bible says concerning these matters. In Psalm it says this: “The wicked borroweth and payeth not again, but the righteous sheweth mercy and giveth.” Now there’s an interesting thought. Now does this mean that all people that borrow are wicked? Absolutely not but giving is on the better side rather than borrowing. Another very good one is in Proverbs. Here’s what it says: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” Here it says that if you help the poor, you lend to God!!! And he will repay you!!! Isn’t that amazing? Also here is a command from God to all of us. “Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.” Matthew 5:42. And now, why does it not feel really good to borrow? Here’s the Bible’s view on that. “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” Proverbs 22:7.
That’s just some quick sharing of thoughts that I had today.
