The racial fight within the negro community concerning attitude differences over how to bring peace and harmony between the white and black races.

Several years back there was a television program staring Tim Reid: “Franks Place”.  This program made me aware that there are two groups within the black community.  Browns are the ones who follow the rules of hard work, leaving behind the hatred of the past and focusing on developing their own good character.  This group has been following the dream of Mr. Martin Luther King; being recognized by their character.  Blacks seem to continue to hold on the the ugly past and try to force themselves on the world because they are blacks or Afro-Americans.  They seem to be following the leadership of the NAACP, which insist on their rights based on color rather than character.  I agree with Obama’s man; someone must establish honest dialogue between the two races.

Oh yes the white race has it’s white power extremist, but they are not the mainstream of the white race any more than gangs being mainstream of the black race. I believe there are many in the mainstream of both races that would like to see dialogue that would bring harmony between the two races.  The dialogue between the two races can not be between politicians who seem to have their own self-centered agendas.  This dialogue must be between small individual groups hosted by interviewers such as Tavis Smiley, Gwyn Ifel and Bill Moyer just to mention a few that have come across to me as being open to helping with this approach with out selfish agendas getting in the way.  Those that I have mentioned seem to be open to conversation leading to growth rather than further antagonistic views.

The results of this short article must be carried forward by neighborhood leaders who have connections with media sources willing to offer a platform for such interviews and discussions.

I couldn’t agree more. What was done to African people at the hands of white people was despicable. I live in Canada, where our first nations peoples were treated like animals by the Europeans who robbed them of their land, their culture, and their dignity.

Reverse discrimination never works. It only feeds the victim mentality and prevents peace and harmony.

    Great article!

I am going to have to disagree with you strongly, this article makes my blood boil. I would love to debate these points with you, but it would take a lot of typing and I am not sure if you are open to really here what the other side thinks. That being said, you are entitled to your opinion and i just dropped by to check out your work. God bless you.
