In this section of the book, the reader will learn about the college life of Linus Pauling, who did not expect to get into Oregon State University. It turns out that he did. He was accepted by Oregon State University, not only for his grades, but also for the teacher recommendations included in his college application. After getting into college and beginning his courses, he was disappointed to learn that the material in his courses, along with the teachers lectures, were still around high school level and were not the challenges he wished to take on, this made him angry with the school system but he decided to keep on going for it and he eventually was able to succeed.
