1.          What I liked most in A History of Rock Music: 1951-2000 was learning about all the different styles and bands from that time. When rock music first came out people were afraid of it. The older generation called it “devil’s music”. The younger generation loved it. It grew in popularity and branched out into many different forms Rock music has influenced us greatly. Now when people here  the word music the majority think of a guitar. The universal symbol for rock music is the electric guitar.

2.         Rock music has and has been influenced by America. In the sixties there were antiwar songs. There were also many drug songs. In the seventies and eighties teens were dressing up in make up to look like KISS. KISS, hated by parents all across America, inspired many a teenager to pick up playing an instrument to be like KISS. Teens new all they’re songs and snuck out to see concerts. Even today There are at least three “Classic Rock” radio stations broadcasting in the CSRA alone. The fact that people still want to listen to the same songs from twenty to fifty years ago means it must have had some influence.
