A poem about a friendship born from a glance. Part two is a mystery.

We met as a glance, very unplanned,
But dually invited for a closer look.
Ideas and thoughts bounced around,
Searching for a safe place to land.
Walls were up from patterned way,
But laughter echoed through their heights.
Our visions unfolded provocatively,
And my mind reached out to play.
I began looking forward to each line,
Even his reports of the weather.
I felt a certain comfort in our exchange,
A neutral zone of its own design.
This friendship had no race to romance,
Nothing to confine or assume.
I welcomed the absence of complexity,
Of this bond born from a glance.
