To the ones who deeply suffer with crippling depression or mental deterioration…
“You are the bravest souls I have ever known.”

You are the bravest soul I have ever known.
Cease trembling and shaking and gasping
and cursing and find again your core which
I am. Rest from twistedness, distortion,
deformations. For an hour you will be me;
that is the other half of yourself. The half you
lost. What you burnt, broke, and tore is still
in my hands. I am the keeper of fragil things
and I have kept of you what is indissoluble.
I have gathered together all the fragments. I
return them to you.
You have run with the wind, scattering and
dissolving. I have run behind you, like your
own shadow, gathering what you have sown
in deep coffers. It is you, my loved one, who
has known the suffering of the deterioration
of your own mind.
You are the bravest soul I have ever known.

    So beautiful! But is it me, I asked! I know the pain! Bless you for putting it in such a profound perspective!

    I love this too! but you really should cite/quote the source…Anais Nin…it is exact words&u only added a title…dont mean to be bratty over this…you would want the same respect of credit for your writing…she’s arguably the most famous female writer ever too!
