You, I and the rest of humanity are one in the same. We are murderers, killers, and slayers. Well, this is the impression that many people get when they look at themselves and at what we have done to this planet and the others around us. Some view humanity us a plague, a parasite on this planet, sucking the earth dry. We are destroying our mother earth, with the waste of resources, destruction of forests, and the continued creation of weapons of destruction. Even though, what we are doing is only for our so called survival as a species, we are causing more harm than good. The problems in this world are only the beginning, as we evolve as a species we must stop, and think, and change our ways of life before it’s too late and we perish in the end. Is this path of destruction really worth our way of life?

Let me make something clear. There are so many problems that are caused by humanity. Where other life has given back to the planet, we are only taking, and taking is an understatement. We are grabbing, stealing, and not returning as much of the resources as we possibly can. Oil, coal, and natural gas that have been in the earth for millions of years are being wasted in the blink of an eye. We are too dependent on this fuel, it’s like a drug to us and we need more. There have been massacres and wars stared because of a person’s or country’s greed for this fuel and the money it brings. Yet, no one did anything about it. The major powers of the world just sat down and twiddled their thumbs. The only way to stop problems like this is to stop our greed and fix our countries, because even if we find a renewable source of fuel, it will one day be used to fuel corruption and evil.

Apparently, a lot of people in this world think that it is right to take and take everything that they can without giving back to the world that gave birth to them. I am taking about the destruction of forests for lumber and paper industry. Even though a few companies have started to return to the planet by planting new trees in place of the ones that they cut down, there are still many that are selfishly just taking from the land without any concern of the consequences. Their actions have a great affect on many of the life that lives in that area. They are killing thousands of plants and animals without a care. All that these lost souls care about is how heavy their wallet is. We need to change and be able to help the planet, not because laws force us to, but because we want to.

Unfortunately even with all of the destruction in our world, our so called leaders still choose to build weapons of mass destruction. Correct me if I’m wrong, but weapons that can wipe out entire cities off the map can surely do no good. What needs to be done is the end of this. We must stop wasting billions upon billions of dollars of creating ways to destroy life and instead use that money to solve most of the world’s problems. I’m sure that if every single country pooled in their war related funds together than they can use it to help the people who really need it.

If your actions reflect who you are, then we as a species need to change. We need to get up, pull up our pants, straightened our acts and change this world we live in. If we make changes and help undo the problems that we have caused then maybe, just maybe there is hope that everything will get better in the cease pool of evil and corruption that the world has become.
