Truth Is In The Writing.
If you ever wants to know if white sports writers are racist in the way they write about black athletes just notice the way they treat whites in many same situations. We saw this played out in the sixties when a boxer changed faith and all types, of whites was trying to corner him down with comments about his new found faith.
Even, the race that still have a problem with him can’t face the facts that he was and still is consider the face, of heavyweight boxing. And notice I never mention his name. For example Cam Newton ticks many white sports writers because he who he is? And that just a person trying to be selected, by the National Football team that decides to select hm, as their face.
Warren Moon recently stated that most comments about him is racist based in writing about the young man, from Auburn University the college championship team. Where whites sports writers question every smile move the man make? About him smiling when a camera around shows the stupidity, of the writer. What’s he supposed to do look sad and depressed about his father mess?
Oh, that would make many writers happy but in Newton they see a man that won’t let others break his spirit. Probably, if Doug Williams hadn’t won the Super Bowl many, of the same white writers would be attacking him because, of his skin tone.
Sure white quarterbacks gets treated better, by white writers when many should be driven through the ringer for stupidity. But, we same these people for 60 minutes and Sports Illustrated, where a sympathetic tale can be spin to save them. Yes, if you’re black and not, at a shoot out, strip club or doing something worse. It intimidates white writers because they can’t break someone with lies. Or dictate your story line.
Now, don’t et me wrong there are many jealous black sportswriters that’s just as bad than the whites with limited knowledge. But that’s to be expected when most work for white organizations and in many cases their editors is mostly white and they need the employment.
Notice, when you accuse whites, of racism the way they are quick to turn it back toward you. Without ever addressing the truth about the comment. I never been the type to states you would figure we have grown pass racism when it still rapid in sports and people minds.
