MVP- a newly formed character that has real life traits. She’s in different scenarios that tie up with each other. These short stories develop the star known as MVP. You decide what you think of her.
It was the stroke of dinnertime and Marsha was terribly hungry. She couldn’t take it anymore. She went to a local fast food restaurant to get some food to scarf down. She went into the restaurant and was furious at what she saw. A long line was in front of her and the service was real slow. She was angry that she couldn’t wait anymore to eat, but she got even angrier after seeing that she will have to wait even longer to eat. The line had about 5 people in it. There were no other fast food chains around and she didn’t want to go to a sit down restaurant, so she just stayed in line. After minutes of just standing at the same spot, she looked ahead to see what the holdup was as she knows the line would have moved by now.
What in the world is taking so long? I can’t wait any longer. She looks at the front of the line and she isn’t too fond at what she sees. Look at this kid! Why is his mom bringing him here? He is going to become fat and ugly, and no one would ever want him. The kid ordered a happy meal and his mom ordered two double cheeseburgers. But Marsha is getting hungrier and restless. The restaurant is short staff so the people who take the order also have to make the order. As the mom and her kid wait for their food, the line builds up even more. Marsha was the last person in line but a couple more people came behind her. She looks back and sees that even more came in and the line is almost backed up to the door. Marsha rolls her eyes and smirks at the customers behind her. The ones that walk in walk right back out as they don’t want to wait. The people behind Marsha are becoming paranoid and they also leave. Marsha is now the last person in line again.
The mom tells the kid to get the tray when it’s ready as she will look for a table to sit down. A couple minutes after she leaves, the tray is handed to the kid. The kid politely says thank you and walks away. He is shocked on how long the line is as he walks to a table his mom found. As he walks perpendicular to the counter, he is coming right to the side of Marsha. Marsha had never been this hungry before. The kid is right to the side of her and she can’t take it anymore. She side steps in front of the kid and says, “Where do you think you’re going? I waited so long for you to order a happy meal and look…..there isn’t one bit of happy thoughts in that meal.” The kid is terrified. He stands there with his mouth open and with his knees shaking. “Are you trying to catch flies in your mouth? If not, close it already!” The kid closes it immediately. “This piece of junk that you call a happy meal……well why not share it as sharing makes people like you happy.” She reaches inside the happy meal box and grabs a fry. As she does this, the kid glances over to his mom and she is talking away on the phone. The customers in line don’t even acknowledge this scene as they want to get their food and leave as fast as possible. She brings the fry to her mouth and bits off a piece of it. She chews and a split second, she makes a nasty face and spits it out on the kid’s shirt. “How can you eat this stuff? Go….just go to your mom and give her the food. You two will eat it and get fat…..you two will get ugly. She is probably lonely and will live a lonely life the rest of her life and you…..you will never get anywhere as you wouldn’t be able to fit through a door frame. You people make me sick!” She turns around and walks out of the restaurant. The kid starts to cry. His face gets all red and his eyes start to get puffy. The mom sees this and rushes off the phone. She runs to him to see what the matter is. She calms him down and tells him that it’s time to eat one of his favorite meals. She takes them to the table and they dig in.
