I hope you enjoy this article as well. This is a discussion piece and I would love it if you would share your thoughts. God bless.
Can Your Bitterness Destroy and Assassinate Your Good Deeds?
Introduction:
Can your bitterness destroy and or assassinate your good deeds? In this article I will attempt to explain to you how it does not matter how many good deeds you do if you continue to hold bitterness in your heart. It is seemingly pointless to continue in good deeds if your heart is not right.
Body:
I have come across people that do good deeds just to be noticed. It may be that they want others to think that they are one way when in truth they are something else. Does the good deeds that you do make a difference if your heart is not right or if you are doing it in a wrongful notion? Are you trying to make others perceive you in one way when you are really another way? Is this not the same as a lie? Can something good be so evil? These questions make you wonder don’t they (rhetorical)?
It is not the good deeds that make you good! What makes you good is your heart. Can the good deed that you commit bring out pleasant outcomes? In my opinion yes, sure the recipient of the good deed could be blessed, but what if that recipient ascertained later on down the road of the true nature and heart of that person who gave the good deed, could that good deed then become worthless? Think about it.
I am sure we have heard the saying “what was done for evil God can turn it around for good”, but does the same concept go into play when the tables are turned and instead the quote is read this way: “what was done for good can be turned around for evil? Does that good deed still mean anything when the recipient now knows the truth? Did it ever really mean anything?
If you hold bitterness in your heart or if you do things that seemeth to be good, but are with a wrongful heart then you are better off not doing that good deed at all. It is worse off for the giver than it is for the recipient. God knows your heart and it does not matter how many good deeds your do He sees your heart and if your heart is wrong then all your good deeds are omitted from the good records God keeps of you. Think before you attempt to shine like a light. Assure in yourself that your heart is right and deeds are with a sincere purpose. It is better to have evil in your heart and be evil on the outward then it is to be evil in your heart and appear good on the outward.
I would rather be evil and look evil then be evil and look good. It is one thing to lie to others, but it is something completely when you lie to yourself. Be whole hearted in everything that you do. Go all the way not just half way.
Conclusion:
This is more like an in-depth perception discussion with William than it is an article. I just wanted to share my thoughts with you. I hope that this article has indeed blessed you and everyday take a moment to look deep into your heart before you do any good deeds and make sure that your heart is all in it. Don’t waste your time trying to be good, when you know that in your heart you’re not.
God Bless you all!!
