Feeling a bit unappreciated.
They work hard, for little money. They may have friends they can talk to, but it does not fill the void that they truly feel.
They clean up after people, that don’t seem to give a damn. How much sense does that make? It doesn’t make any sense at all to me. I am a caretaker at the building where I work and it seems to me, everyone doesn’t seem to give much thought into how hard I work. I clean the bathrooms more than once a day (sweeping and cleaning water off of the sinks).
Clean up cigarette butts in the parking lot outside. There are two butt buckets outside and everyone still misses them. I think they do it on purpose, to be quite honest with you. Last week, they had me working like an unappreciated dog, because the company was bringing in a new client. All the company did, was bitch and complain, because they were saying themselves, that I wasn’t cleaning. I got so upset and extremely angry, I was willing to say the “F” word and quit. But, alas, I bit my tongue and took it all in stride.
I work my tail off, for people that don’t appreciate all the hard work I do. Some of my friends say, “Oh, keep up the good work,” or , “I’ve never seen this place so clean.” Better yet, “Why are they working you so hard? You do more than enough around here.” Are they telling me the truth? Or are they just pretending that they care and would rather lie about it, so they don‘t hurt my feelings? I don’t know for sure, because I feel extremely unappreciated.
