Opinion Piece

 I think king Charles I is such a bad king. I think this because he put people in jail with out any reason. I also think he is a bad king because he always wastes all of the money on the government. He also taxes us, because of his mistakes. He never listens to parliament or the people. And then all of a sudden he needs us for more money! But we had enough. So then the war broke out between the Roundheads (us) and the cavaliers (for the king). So finally we won and beheaded the terrible king, Charles I. Then Oliver Cromwell became our new leader, but then out of the blue he became a control freak dictator, who wanted to rule all! We had enough of bad kings, so we threw out Oliver Cromwell without any bloodshed. Then Charles II became the new king. Everyone expected him to be a bad king too, considering the long line of terrible kings (and also because of his name Charles). However he was a great king. He allowed people a court before they had to be locked up in prison. So finally England could rest without bad rulers, and civil wars. Now everyone is happy. For Now…
