What I’ve used over the past few years:

1.Mobility: 25dollars unlimited text/call. +$5 dollars for Internet service. +$15 dollars for BB service. No contract

2.Rogers: 20 dollars for unlimted text.

3.Bell. 15 dollars for unlimited text

4.kooodoo. plans as low as $15/month

Why use only texting plans?

For me, i don’t really need all the Data stuff and such, and call is pretty much 10-20 calls/months which is a waste if you pay an extra 10 dollars. Alot of teens only text instead of calling, cause it’s much simpler. As well as the amount of people that use# of texts that can be as high as 700/month, so its actually good to get unlimited texting instead of paying 15cents/month.

What is Data?

Data includes accesses like GPS and Facebook and such. Mostly only used for smartphones and Blackberrys.

Why you shouldn’t have a contract?

When your carrier has been with you for over 1-2 years, you aren’t as important customer anymore, as you’re the guaranteed, so their service might get worse and worse, as your contract is like 2 years. Its good not to have a contract cause you can quit anytime their service isn’t good.
