I think there is no such thing as chocolate overload, but this is just an exaggerated experience on chocolate overdosing.

I bought a 500g Premium Dark Choco Bar at SM department store last August 6, 2010. Instead of buying the Cadbury bar, I tried the big chunky bar that is usually the hard bar used for baking or pastries. The first bite didn’t excite me. So I placed it on the refrigerator and thought, I think I should give this to my mother-in-law who bakes cakes and turn this luscious giant bar into something delicious.

I opened the refrigerator and saw the chocolate wrapped in a silver foil. I grab it and tasted it one more time.

I kept holding it. I watched television until; I never even noticed that I almost consumed half of the bar! That was nearly 200g of premium dark chocolate.

This is the feeling when you get chocolate wasted. First, your lips will have circumoral dark brown color, with your teeth like you have eaten mud plus your hands dirty and sticky. Your heart begins to palpitate and you’ll experience rapid bounding pulse a few seconds after on your chest, increasing heart rate like 200 beats per minute. You’ll feel like the assassin in the movie “Wanted” along with a struggle with panic attacks with no anti-anxiety pills for relief. Wesley, maybe you just love dark chocolate so bad that you get this sickness or malady!

These are the ingredient: Sugar, hydroxygenated vegetable oil and fat, powdered milk, alkalized cocoa powder, lecithin and salt.

Try Premium Dark Choco Bar. Other flavors in the market are Bitter sweet and Belgian chocolate.

One piece of advice: please don’t get high on the stuff or you would experience the choco loco sensation.

Eating too much chocolate gives me palpitations and I can’t sleep. I think there is caffeine in there which I can’t take, but it doesn’t stop me eating a little. I understand your feelings.

That’s the reason why I watch out for my children when they eat chocolates. They get so hyper and tensed up.

This one made me chuckle and at the same time craving for chocolate. :) Nice post, kabayan.

:) I have had some similar moments in the past – now I choose quality instead of quantity, the large quantity makes me sick. Beware of that hydro..something-oil. Makes me suspicious. Prefer cocoa butter – but I loooove chocolate. 86% cocoa makes it less addictive.
