In this very “different world” children experience tremendous peer pressure and greater opportunity to make choices – the kinds of choices that could bring an early and lifelong harvest of healthy relationships, or disaster.

The widespread availability and number of choices young people face is startling. It isn’t just a limited few “bad” kids who are exposed to the lure of drugs and drinking, sexual activity, crime, or the up-and-down battle with self-esteem. All kids – from young adults to teens – are given the option.

The conclusion is obvious: Parents of this generation must commit themselves to the difficult, but not impossible task of guiding their children to make wise decisions, and allowing them to assume the responsibility for these decisions to attain the quality of life we all seek.
