We dont have to be "under the circumcstances"! We can rise above them!
Circumstance- Ruler or Slave?
You face the biggest obstacle,
The biggest mountain peak,
That life’s seen fit to bring your way.
Circumstance, the ruler of the weak?
All night you only see the black
Of night, and not the star
For some would use that old cliche,
Under
Or do you see the blue above,
Much closer than before,
Because you’ve risen to stand above,
Having learned the lesson buried in the ore.
And so, having been down in the mire,
You’ve risen to see blue skies.
No more to dwell defeated, used,
Circumstance, the instrument of the wise!
Oh, circumstance, what will it be?
The steps of the path God gave.
The trials He’s gently sifted down,
Circumstance, your ruler or your slave?
