I am learning to recognize the soul inside everybody around me.
Sometimes its very easy to forget what we already agreed with our selves. For instance, a while ago I decided I was not going to judge people just by the way they looked or even by their attitudes and behavior, just treat every body in a detached respectful manner, with out taking anything personal. But like I said; is so easy to forget.
I work for a place where I deal with all kinds of people: ghetto, nice, rich, educated, slobs, snobs, black, white, yellow, brown, its just a melting pot. They are all different, but most of them have thing in common: They piss me off, they can make me very angry and judgmental, and aggressive, and paranoid, and postal, and every kind of negative drag you can think of. But sometimes also I find very lovely people that cares for the Human inside me, and when I recognize that, a beautiful symbiosis takes place; I see the human inside of them too, not only the human; the soul inside, and all of the sudden everything changes so drastically! all of the sudden people is not that annoying, or demanding or ugly or shallow, I see the human inside of them and the same reaction that just happened to me happens to them and they treat me differently, with more respect and kindness. It makes me think that is better if I approach everybody from a clear point of view, or from a familiar sort of I-know-you-are-soul-inside-and-you-feel-vulnerable-too-feel-safe-around-me- because-I-care-for-you, kind of attitude.
So in the end it was me all along the one that made this people annoy me, make me angry, vulnerable, paranoid, judgmental etc. They where just there like fresh clay on the table, waiting for me to mold them into anything I wanted.
I will try to mold peaceful and happy moments with all this clay around, because ultimately it’s just clay molding clay. Mold me into a smiling sphinx while I am still fresh from your warm eyes…
Do not make assumptions
Do not take anything personal
Keep and impeccable word
Always do the best that you can
(4 very easy to forget agreements)
