Cleanliness. Does being clean really help? I think not. I believe we all need to be exposed to Dirt.

Cleanliness. Everyone it seems like now wants to be clean. When your kid goes out side stay out of the mud. Don’t eat worms. So on. But, the real deal is we NEED to be exposed to dirt. We NEED to get exposed to the disease and viruses inside of the dirt for when our immune system is still young we can build it up. If you are always clean and never did anything outside, even gardening would be fine, then you will have an awful immune system and actually be more prone to sickness then someone who has been out drinking water with a couple earth worms in it. Not parasite but earth.

For instance: My Father is 59 and I have never seen him with a sickness. When he was a boy he spent all his days hiking and exploring the caves in Black Diamond mines near Concord. No matter all of the physical problems he has with his back and shoulder, knee, neck and all of the stuff like that, he does not get viruses. Now, on the other hand: My Mom was always clean. There fore has many viruses through out her life so far.

There is much validity in this. I never understood how parents could deny their children the fun of the outdoors. What little boy doesn’t want to play in the mud or climb a tree? I always bellieved denying that because you don’t want your kids too ‘look’ dirty in front of the neighborhood was wrong. Most definately play in the mud, just as long as they know the important of cleanliness also
