Full human cloning.

There are two perspectives of full human cloning:

  • On one side, there are the people who see the medicinal benefits
  • On the other side, there are the people who think that the system could be abused

On the positive side, this could greatly advance medicine in general (such as creating a clone that has a healthy organ and switching it with the person who has the faulty organ). People could finally get children more easily.

On the negative side, there could be corruption in the system. Criminals could hide away more easily since that technically, they are in more than one place so the law would catch the wrong person and since that DNA testing would be useless however there are chances that the environment would alter clones and the original copy so that they are actually different. The clones would not feel like they actually exist, just a shadow of someone else. Religious people may think that this is playing God by choosing which cells would live and which ones would be discarded.

Cloning has been very controversial therefore the Government has limited this to animals and have tried to stop full cloning processes due to the high disgruntlement.

How does it work?

For a start, growing embyronic stem cells would be the best way forward as they are completely unspecialised therefore this could mean the potential to grown into any cell possible. Later, the conditions needed to grow the embryo would have to match the conditions while if it was in the uterus. As long as the right and same DNA was obtained and making sure that during cell division that it splits into two embryos then it would be possible to create clones however creating existing clones of people would be a much harder job and not as straight forward.
