The Earth. Big. Blue. Wondrous. How did it begin? How did it evolve? What is it made of? If it was created, then who did it? Can we control what happens to it? Is there really such thing as destiny? Does everything happen for a reason? Many philosophers from all over the world, all throughout history, have tried to answer these huge questions. I’m sure everyone has their own opinions, many influenced by religion. In this series, i will attempt to answer these questions as well. Feel free to leave your responses, opinions, or maybe your own philosophies in the comment section. So, without further adieu, enjoy.

Part 2
In part 1, I ended by mentioning the possibility of an alternate world, exactly the same as ours. I believe that this is not true. I think that there could be another world with the same environment as ours, but I think that it would be far different, in terms of evolution and lifeforms. Why? Well, that it the question I will be focusing on in this section.
Everything happens for a reason. So yes, I believe in destiny. Sadly, I think that we cannot control the outcome of different events. If you have ever watched the ABC series “Lost,” you may remember a group of people who were able to see the future. However, they would not bother to attempt to stop bad events from happening, because eventually, the outcome would be the same. If this seems confusing, here is an example. Say one of these people knew that a certain someone would get in a car, and get in a fatal car crash on their way to work. Say they told the person, preventing them from getting in the car. This psychic may think that they saved this person from certain death. However, they would be wrong. Because later that day, that person who was destined for death would get hit by a meteorite. So despite how many times this psychic person saves this person from death, this guy WILL die, one way or another. I definitely agree with this, although i certainly do not believe in psychics. I think if you are able to avoid a situation, the outcome will end up being the same, one way or another.
Now, the big question here is, who is controlling our destiny? Is it a God? A number of Gods? An extraterrestrial species? This will be the topic of a future part of my philosophy, so stay tuned! Also, just as a quick note, I REALLY appreciate feedback, good or bad, I just like to hear what you guys think. See you in part 3!
