Me rambling….on and on….I’m posting it anyways. Let’s see what happens…
The world isn’t black and white; that’s just how we see it. Good, evil, dark, light. There’s a ton of shades and contrasts that we just don’t see because we choose not too. We think that it will make our lives simpler by simplifying our vision, or how we view the world. But in reality, just seeing black and white makes it harder; harder to make decisions, harder to live with those decisions. We have to see the between to see how life really is.
But once we blind ourselves to the color, we long for it. Sometimes it just seems easier to jsut “go with it” though, it’s too much work otherwise. It’s easier to leave it to someone else, we’re nothing special right? But in this time everyone thinks that, so no one see’s the color. There’s always hurt; imagine living with a blind fold for 72 hours, when it finally comes off you love and long for the vivid colors, the light; but at the same time your body rejects it because it’s not used to it; it says it’s easier to live without, even if it’s not what I want. It takes time and effort (lots of effort) to adapt to the bright colors again. We are the ones who reject the most, and the hardest. We just go with the flow, the flow of the world. Follow the fashion, follow the attitude, the music, the speech, and so forth. Most people don’t see the world for it’s color, but for it’s severity and plainness. We’ve just got to adapt to the color, the vividness that as children we didn’t see. We saw the backyard as our world, the bedrooms as our hiding places, and the rest of the world we turned a blind eye to. But now as we’re introduced to this world, and our vision is restored, we reject it, we say it’s too harsh. Being human is about learning to cope with the color, not reject it as so many of us do; so that when we become adults, when we get older, we can be better than the rest of the ‘world’, so we can show them the color, and teach them how to embrace it.
