After some statistical research people stated that the radio is equivalent to the TV when delivering a message. Well in the following paragraph I will state the differences, similarities, advantages and disadvantages to see if they are equivalent.

Barnard, I agree with Frederick since people can get different ideas when watching something while when they hear a statement they imagine it to be only one thing. As many of you know that the main difference between a TV and a radio is that TV transmit both audio and video, while a radio only transmits audio. The first war that was broadcasted on TV was the Vietnam War. If this war was never broadcasted people will never know the pain that these Vietnamese people are suffering during a war, only hearing which cannot affect them as seeing these innocent people get hurt. Both of these systems have some advantages and disadvantage. The common advantage between TV and radio is that it keeps us up to date. People these days spend hours watching TV which is a major disadvantage since people will have sight problems and  miss out on work. The main disadvantage of TV is that it provides indoor entertainment which decreased social interaction with different people. Another disadvantage is that before the TV families used to spend some quality time with each other. Many students these days are getting attached to the TV and they are missing out on their homework which will reduce their achievements in the class. Apart from all these disadvantages there are some advantages. The most beneficial advantage in TV is that kids learn valuable lessons from watching movies and cartoons. It also gives them a social subject to talk about with friends. Many adults watch the news which will keep them up to date with what is happening around them. One of the several advantages found in TV is that people can experience different cultural backgrounds. After a statistical research people said that the main disadvantage when listening to a radio is that the connection might become fuzzy which is irritating when listening to news broadcast or something they enjoy. Until today people listen to the radio whether at home or in the car, and since many people listen to the radio it is an advantage for companies to advertise in a radio station. Another advantage is that these days’ people don’t know what to listen to so there are some radio stations which provide music. The listener can also gain writing speech skills since when he listens to different people giving out a speech he can take out statements that he can use in his/her own speech.
