A praise poetry for a friend who is the natural symbol of beauty. It tells how her beauty subdues me.
PRINCESS AEESHAH (1)
My eyes have been dazzled
I have been vanquished
The arrows of gaiety
have subdued the hardness
of my masculinity
See how splendour befits her
See how the palms lower
before her
See how the palms wave
to herald her sweet steps
The hardness of my bravery
is vanquished and crushed
by her cheerful gaiety
and perfection of beauty
My soul falls into the depth
and breath of the desire
to embrace this wealth
of feminine heaven
You are the brightness
and youngness
and sweetness
and humble virtue
of a man’s heart
I have been vanquished
