This is a brief look at conspiracies, UFO and the New World Order. Project Camelot and David Ike.

But are we obsessed with the idea of conspiracies?

What happens to the human mind when it gets a conspiracy going? After all, it answers a lot of questions, and plays to our nature and need to know. This is part of our ego, and our appetite for self gratification. Here we feed our need to tell ourselves we were right all along.

If you believe that society has conspired against you all your life, you have a ready prop on which to hang your problems. You can say you were held back all your life because some great power has conspired to put you down. It now has all become a plot against you; your family; your society; your race; your class, or simply your nation. If you don’t get the job you always wanted, you can easily fit these pieces into place and say that a secret society has plotted against you to stop you making millions.

You can say, you never found the partner you always wanted because someone secretly whispered in their ear to turn them against you. And how wonderfully this all works out. It will never be your fault and it becomes a handy club with which to beat yourself with. You can always get people to feel sorry for you if you can convince someone that the world has conspired against you.

This works out even better if you can give it the extra spin of saying the secret conspirators have supernatural powers, or better still, are Aliens.

Any evidence to disprove your theory can be put down, by saying they are using their magical powers to make you look foolish. Or better still, they are influencing your critics. People who say you are foolish or deluded, are all part of the plot. You can adopt an entrenched position, where people are either on one side or the other.

Conspiracy theories and their followers can always fall back on this, because it is now so fashionable to blame society for plotting against humanity. We all fear big governments or global corporations, for ruining the lives of the little people. Few people stand up and rally the support of the giants. After all, who would be stupid enough to cheer for the Nazis?

You would be seen either as a criminal or a lunatic. So drumming up support for big government is almost impossible. On the other hand, anyone who speaks out against them, has a willing audience. Equally anyone who can propose an extremist idea is listened to. Modern media and the thirst for science fiction, had fed our desire for the exotic idea. Governments all over the world have been embarrassed by failure and incompetence.

When examining someone like Richard Nixon, it would not be out of the question to suggest he was not influence by Aliens, Ghost or Vampires. After all, he lied about everything else, why not that?

The is something soothing about seeing all the pieces fall into place with a conspiracy theory. It answers so many questions. Letting it wash over you and become real, is so much easier than drilling down to find an awkward question.

Thanks to the internet, this has now become almost normal, and anyone who stands up and laughs is seen as the freak.
