I hope that one day, people who hurt or neglect animals ,will go to prison for their sins.

Cruelty to Animals should always be Punished

I am please to note that Mary Bales, who recently dumped a cat in a wheelie bin is to be sued by the animal protection group. But sadly, she is not the only person to treat our vulnerable little pets as if  they were nothing more than a disposable toy.

It was reported on our National News yesterday that an unknown man dumped a lame dog in a car park, and then drove off without looking back. What he didn’t know was his actions had been captured on CCTV cameras, as well as the agony on the poor dog’s face when he realised he had been abandoned.

Dogs are man’s best friend, faithful and loyal to the end, so how anyone could do that  to an innocent creature, totally amazes me. If he couldn’t take care of it, there are dog rescue centres he could have taken it to. What makes it worse is, there were other people in the car, who watched the whole thing and did nothing.

This is a situation where I applaud the use of CCTV cameras. Apparently the police  are now trying to trace this car and the occupants, and when they do, I sincerely hope they will be heavily punished, and NEVER permitted to own any sort of animal again. Better still they should go to  jail, and see for themselves what it’s like to be abandoned.

However, this story  does have a happy ending. The  television company have been flooded with emails, and telephone calls from people who want to adopt this dog. He will be able to go to a nice caring home. Isn’t it nice to know that for every bad and heartless person out there, there are even more caring ones, so in this instance, thank goodness for CCTV cameras.
