Hello world, here’s Daddy’s GIRL……..

A Daddy’s Girl, while distancing herself from being identified with her mother, begins to worship the father as her idol and the one with whom she strives to forge a close emotional bond. The daughter draws almost all of daddy’s affection in addition to demanding unrivalled attention and space within the family. And the stereotypical Daddy’s Girl, unlike the tomboy rarely grows into a rebellious radical. Instead most often she delivers at least half of papa’s bygone wish for a son, though in another garb. In fact, a Daddy’s Girl tends to take uncle’s encouragement or approval for granted, while the same response from dad goes a long way with her; she presumes she earned her father’s love and so works at winning more.

And if your relationship with your dad is not working out as good as you expect it to be, you can benefit from gently reminding yourself that your father is, like you, unique-well intentioned but flawed and, above all, only human.
