Restoring hope in Salvation.
Some simply deny life after death. Still others say only the righteous will exist after death. Others believe in reincarnation. If Humanists and materialists are correct, then man has no spirit to exist after death… Boring, I myself do not believe that! but why is it some of us wait until we are lying on our death beds before we finally decide to let go of all the things that hindered us during our life? In my opinion, it’s like, Oh Ok, “ It is time to leave this world now and to insure a place in Heaven I better do what I know God wants me to do and confess all my sins, Then ask for forgiveness”.
To deny the resurrection is to deny the basis for our faith in the gospel and this removes all assurance of our salvation. If we are saved only by the gospel of Christ, but if we deny the basis for believing in the gospel, how can we know we are saved?
Jesus’ resurrection and our resurrection go hand-in-hand.
1 Corinthians 6:14 tells us God both rose up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
2 Corinthians 4:14 tells us He who rose up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus. Jesus’ Resurrection Proves All People Will Be Raised and even though we may ignore it through out life, when it comes to death, we count on it.
Jesus’ resurrection is one of the best-attested events of Ancient History. It is one of the surest proofs that the gospel message is true. One thing it proves is that WE too will be raised from the dead.
In my opinion if we do not consider the consequences of denying The Bible Teachings of the Resurrection, our preaching is in vain and we are false, negative individuals.
Is it all of Life’s pleasures that we do not want to get rid of because they make us feel good, filling us with satisfaction, causing us to be vulnerable to the elements and weakening our whole being so much as to train ourselves little by little to become experts in ignoring and pushing away the main ingredient to a truly wonderful life, and if so, What is that?
Are we holding the wrong hand through out life because of the pleasure and satisfaction we feel when doing something we know we are not suppose to do or, are we just to selfish not wanting to let go of the other because of the way it makes us feel, letting go only to grab Gods hand before our death in hopes of salvation.
Sometimes I wonder just how mad God might be and that maybe just making it out of here without killing ourselves is what it may all boil down to if we do not come to our senses, and all I want to do is scream! But having Faith and believing The Kingdom of Heaven is within each and every one of us, knowing that it is within ourselves to do these things and believing in the resurrection gives me hope and restores my faith.
If we are lucky enough to have the opportunity before we die to ask for forgiveness it would be wonderful, but what if we don’t, what then? How do we live life to the fullest without feeling guilty? How much do we think about the fact that someday we really will die, someday we really will be raised and stand before Jesus in judgment and enter our eternal rewards. How seriously do we take this?
If Jesus really arose from the dead, if the Bible is really true, if God is really just and merciful, and if God will ultimately defeat Satan, (which I believe to be true), then there Will Be a resurrection and just maybe if we ask ourselves each time we make a decision “Who or What” it is that keeps us coming back or steers us away, remembering this, we may just find peace a little sooner, opening many doors we may not have opened otherwise, finally finding the Kingdom of Heaven, Never having to return again.
