I have some exciting news to share about a small independent film and how I will be involved with it’s future.
You may remember about a month ago that I went to great lengths to laud the folks over at Rogue Bard Media for a project they were working on in conjunction with the William D. Ford Career Technical Center in Westland Mi. The project in question is a feature length film they are producing with the students of the Digital Media class called ‘Deathwatch’ and they are about to wrap shooting in the near future. This, however, isn’t the big news I want to share.
The big news is I have been tapped to write a novelization of the film. Apparently the guys have been watching me for a while now, Fyl in particular is a big fan of the ‘God’s Othe Mistakes’ series of short stories I published here on Triond over a year ago. While I can’t reveal the finer details, I can say they were looking for someone to flesh out the story and include some of the plot points that didn’t make their way into the final script due to the tight schedule they had to write and shoot the whole project. They sent me along some of their notes earlier today, and I have already begun working on some notes on my own. Needless to say I’ve very excited by this oppurtunity and have obtained permission to share a few excerpts here in the future.
