Diary of a mom.

Dear Diary, today my daughter smiled for the first time. This was shortly after she spit up all over my new blouse to which my husband laughed at me. She rolled over onto her side and looked quite comfortable yet slightly out of place because she was on my side of the bed.  She hiccupped, threw up, left mommy a nice little package in her diaper, pulled out my hair and smiled again. I could get mad or frustrated, if she would just stop smiling all the time. If she could just stop being so adorable, maybe I could find it in myself to stay upset.

Dear Diary, when I put her onto my shoulder to burp her, she started gnawing on my cheek. All I could think about was how much this would probably hurt when her teeth came in. She peed while I was changing her and it shot up a foot in the air. I thought only boys did that. She almost hit my eye. Good aim little one. We watched a hockey game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins. Boston won and she screamed. I have a Canadiens fan for a daughter.

Dear Diary, everyone keeps telling me I look tired. I have a new baby—of course I am tired. I wonder what happened to her rattle. Ouch, okay, there it is. I think my daughter is addicted to Ebay. She bought herself some pretty expensive onesies with her daddy’s visa. She also bought mommy a new pair of earrings. Thank you, sweety!
