Some of Germanys reasons for their involvment in World War Two.
World War II was not started by Hitler alone, although he did play a part in it he is not entirely to blame, it was mainly caused by The Treaty of Versailles and the unfairness of it towards the German people.
The Treaty of Versailles was one of the major causes for WWII, it stated that German alone was the responsible for WWI and that they would have to pay for all the damages cause during the war, this was really unfair on Germany and the German people seeing as they didn’t start the war in the first place, they might have contributed greatly to it but that shouldn’t mean that they have to pay the price in full. Austria, Hungry and Turkey should have also payed for the damages caused during the war because they also played a big part in it.
Because Germany had to pay back the damage that it and the rest of the Central Powers had cause during WWI it put many people out of work and home, people had to search through trash to find things they could live on and make a living off of. Hitler used this to inspire the German people to help bring him to power by stating that he would stop the German people suffering and bring them back to the normal way of life. He also used what the Treaty had done to Germany to target the Jewish population who were quite wealthy and force them into labour camps.
If the Allied power had made it fair then maybe this would never have happened.
Adolf Hitler was also to blame for the WWII because he wanted power, he was power hungry. He wanted what was best for him and his people (the people loyal to him). He wanted more land for the people, more jobs for the people and he didn’t want anyone to deify him, anyone that did was killed. He used speeches, propaganda and the Jewish population to help push the German people into bringing him power. He said he would bring Germany into the modern age by building Autobahns (freeways) which he later used to move troops and vehicles around the country. He promised to help pull Germany out of the Great Depression that was sweeping the world and taking jobs away from the needy German people.
Using this he was able to take control of the country and because he promised all these things people followed his every command, they murdered people, destroyed buildings and forced the Jewish population to work in slave camps. He gave the German people jobs, housing and money so when he started to invade countries and the people followed him because he had done so much for them and if they didn’t they would be punished.
In 1932 Hitler started to build up its army, navy and air force, Hitler stated that he would no longer follow the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler also invaded non German parts of Germany (Rhineland, Anschluss and Sudetenland) which was in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. In March 1939 he invaded Czechoslovakia and took control, this pushed the Allied countries (Briton, France, Ireland, Belgium, Australia, Canada and many more) to the breaking point and in September 1939 when Hitler invaded Poland the Allied nations declared war on Germany.
Was World War Two Started by Hitler? No. World War II was not started by one power hungry man, although he did contribute to it, it was started by many things that were initially put forward by the Allied powers, They decided that Germany should take the blame for the war and If maybe they didn’t, it would never have happened.
