We battle anxiety and fear everyday of our lives. What happens when we believe in God and believe in him to help us?
“There is no fear in love, but full-grown
love turns fear our of doors
and expels every trace of terror! For
fear brings with it the thought of
punishment and he who is afraid has not
reached the full maturity of love.
We love him,
because he first loved us.”
-I John 4:18-19
I’ve been battling with anxiety for three years now. It has been a struggle for me to just get out of the house and go to the grocery store, even the gym. Because of that constant fear of something bad happening to me. But, I’ve learned that I shouldn’t be afraid that God is holding my hand every step of the way. And I believe he will not let me down.
Some will say I am a fool for believing in God but you know what I don’t care because that’s why there is free will. We have a choice to believe or not and I choose to believe. Because without faith what else do I have to look forward to? So I’m a believer and he has helped me along my journey of anxieties and depression. Yes, I’ve seen doctors but nothing has helped me compared to my strong faith.
Yes, I’ve had my times where I back slided, I’m human what do you expect? But God has been right there to pick me right back up and is leading me on the right path. And thats what he does, just because we’ve let him down so many times he’s still there by our side waiting for the day that we will come back to him. Because he is a forgiving God, and he loves every single one of us.
“I love those who love me, and those
who seek me early and diligently shall find me.”
-proverbs 8:17
We just need some faith in him, and need to turn to him no matter what. We should not lose faith in him no matter what the situation is like because with out our faith in him we lose our own lives. I almost did, and I thank the lord for saving me.
