Unless you have been there, do not try and understand how we feel.
Unless you have been there, do not try and understand how we feel. Being involved with a military service member, is hard. If you have been with someone, are a child of one, or a mother or father… You cannot possible know how we feel. So many people tell us, “Oh, I understand how you feel, my husband has been on a business trip all week.” No you really do not know! You cannot fathom how we feel; the worry, the fear, the pain.
People criticise us because we wait for them to return. If we do not, we will? No one, too many people do not care and think that these people do not deserve love. Who are you to think they do not deserve the same thing we do? Is it because they do something that not all would? Or that they have more courage then many? What are your reasons? Please tell me, I do not understand how you think this way. I have spent the past 9 months waiting, for the one person who has went away to war. He gives back so much to this country without being asked to. Leaving us all behind to do something bigger.
I have lost my patience with people in this country. Really, walking around with your nose in the air, taking the one thing you have been given for granted. I guess I do not fit in too well with all of you people who do this. I refuse to fall in line with people, who think nothing of anyone but themselves. I would rather be nothing alone then be something I am not with hundreds.
