I have recently had some disturbing waking dreams, I ask for help and explain the dreams.

Do you go down memory lane?

I have mentioned before in my articles that at the moment I am house bound, I am waiting for a major operation.  Anyone who has been house bound as long as I have will tell you it is not a very nice experience.  Your world because minute and self absorbed.  I write to save my sanity and I am lucky enough to have broad band internet connection to keep me in touch with the outside world.

Every day tasks such as popping to the local shop for some coffee or bread is ruled out as I cannot walk.  Sitting outside is a big risk if I sit down there is a high probability without help I will not be able to stand up.  This gives you some idea of the shrunken world I live in.  I feel like James Stewart in Alfred Hitchcock’s  “The rear window” I watch people come and go as I type my articles for Triond the publishing site.

There becomes a point when my ideas go fuzzy due to pain killers or just sitting in one place typing for too long.  The strangest thing has been happening lately, when at rest I keep on remembering the past?  These memories are so intense they are like a waking dream.  The house appears to go quiet and memories flood into my conscious mind.

I can remember a certain day at work perhaps in 1984! When I was a vehicle technician, I can remember the car I was working on and the repair work I was carrying out.  I can even remember the tools required to effect the repair.  These waking dreams are not restrained to work I think about driving a certain car that I have owned.  The memory of driving that vehicle is so vivid I can smell the fabric of the interior of the car.  I can feel the sensation of changing gear, to me the dreams are so real.

Writing can be a cathartic therapy that helps to relieve you from whatever is troubling your spirit. So continue to write and share, and you’ll find that things will begin to get better. Thanks for sharing.
