This is about certain readers who search out content they know will offend them.
Don’t go searching for articles about topics you find offensive; there are reasons why articles have certain keywords associated with their content and are placed in certain categories. Me personally I can’t stand the idea of throw up, so I generally don’t search for articles pertaining to human bio or anything remotely related to the subject. If you accidentally pull up an article that offends you, simply click on the top x on your screen and let that be the end of it. Those of us that provide content for various websites do it at our leisure and you have a right as a reader to decide whether you wish to read that article or not. I know some readers will be on the defense and say I have to protect my children from certain content on the Internet, and my response is your right. However if you feel that we should not write about certain subject matter, because your child might stumble upon certain articles; I might as well not voice my opinion on anything or anywhere, because I might offend someone. The sad truth is that you cannot fully protect your child from sensitive topics, such as sex and the reality is that your kids probably already discussed these topics anyway. I have nieces and nephews that think computer parent control are the biggest joke ever, because they can easily bypass those security measures. I am a grown woman who chooses to write about adult topics from time to time, and if you’re not grown, enough to read my material, then don’t read it. Please don’t purposefully put it keywords that will undoubtedly offend you, and then have you cast moral judgment about what I wrote. If you don’t agree with my opinion about some things and want to voice your opposition, then I respect that. However if your sole objection is the topic than find something else to read.
