A look at our lives through our relationships, television and news. Are we addicted to drama? What do we want our society to look like? It seems that our society thrives on drama, rudeness and speculation. We need to change that idea. We need to be responsible for our actions, and find out as much information as possible for our conflicts and problems.
For example not long ago a family who were weather chasers had a UFO like object in his garage, and the young son was thought to be the object when it took off as it seemed on its own. The news followed the story believing that the 6 year old was in that object, and later he was found in the attic of the family’s garage. On CNN there was a debate over what should be done to prevent such things from causing so much havoc and chaos among the emergency personnel. At this point the news or media program shouldn’t be involved in this story until all of the information has been gathered. What we know at the time the event happens may not be the whole story.
Debates are good, and good for us. I like a well informed debate. However, I don’t like debates that are rude, and that cut another person’s view down. I like to hear what each person has to say, and then I can form my own opinion. These major news networks love to have debates on the news topic of the day. This debate is a good thing, until the debaters begin cutting each other off, and become rude to each other. Rudeness belongs in an uncivilized world. Where is our society heading? What direction do you want our society to head? I prefer civilized society.
I want my society to be a less dramatic, and a little more involved in the facts. I want a society that is willing to go the extra step to find out for their own selves the problems and the conflicts. I want a society where we ask questions first, find out as much of the information as possible, and then try to solve the problem or conflict. I want the people in my society to accept responsibility and question others with their own mind, heart and soul. I want Sister 1 to talk to her brother. I want the brother to talk to his sister.
If we can all do that, then we have just built a better society with less stress, chaos and havoc. We don’t need to thrive on the drama of others; we have enough to worry about in our day to day living. Drop the drama, and communicate with others. Remember communication is listening, talking and questioning without judgment of any kind. Open your ears and your heart and truly listen with your whole being. Leave the drama behind it’s not needed; it only hinders.
