This is a free write based on how much I look forward to paradise; I suppose this is a perception of such.

“I must be dreaming” I thought as I beheld this day. Beauty only an artist could’ve possibly created. I stared forward as I saw hills of green luscious grass crafted and so perfect as if this were only a painter’s depiction. While still in disbelief, I go to venture out the land. As I go along I see multicultural people all gathering together to play a community game of soccer. When I realized this, I ran to the community to see if I can join in the game. I was shocked to see how fast I got there; the destination was a distance away. I had never run nearly this fast in my life, and yet, I did so quite effortlessly. I was also shocked to see that despite the distance, I wasn’t weary at all. It doesn’t stop there though. Once I arrived, a group of children spotted me and called my name and proceeded to run up to me. They all came and gave me the biggest hug their little arms could give and said “It’s great to see you!” While all this is happening, I’m thinking to myself, “Ok…what is going on here!!” Yet, I welcomed their embrace and made my way to join the game. I was amazed to see all these races of people playing together, male and female, adult and child, teenagers too. No one got mad at each other, there was smiles on everyone’s faces, and everyone looked so young, so…happy? It was completely puzzling; I had never seen anything quite like this. It was daytime so the question that naturally popped up in my mind is “Why aren’t these people at work?” Whatever the case may be, we had fun that game. We had played for a good 4 hours or so, and no one was tired! Also, during this game, no one was keeping score; that just made the game even more fun. So after the game was over we all went to get some food. Now I know I normally don’t like vegetables, tomatoes, and all that other nasty stuff, but this was good!!! I couldn’t believe it, I actually ate a platter of vegetables without complaining or anything! Mom wasn’t even there to make me eat it either!! To be honest, I don’t really know why I ate those vegetables and things, normally I’d decline. (Strangely enough though, no money was exchanged! The food was free!) So the day goes on as me and the people of the community talk as if we’re old friends. They had love so genuine and real; it was pretty much unprecedented. Time flys by because we were having so much fun! The night time rushed onto us, and I was invited by multiple people to stay a night at their place. I was astonished, I didn’t know what to do. Someone literally had to grab me and take me with them because I couldn’t choose. The ones who took me was a family of 7, the parents had boys and girls. The kids appeared to be around my age, but, I was so confused. The parents looked just as young as their children! Yet anyway, as we were on the way to their house, they lead me to a hill with an almost unfathomable view. I looked down the hill and there I saw a large body of water that was reflecting the moon. My goodness, I mean…I wasn’t aware that such beauty existed. The mother of the family shocked me when she had the idea of racing down the hill to the water. All of us ran as fast as we could and once again, we made it there so fast without even being exhausted! (I did happen to win though.) When we got down to the water, they had the idea of going to visit someone. I had been up and active all day and I wasn’t sleepy! I had no problem with going to visit someone but I was thinking to myself “It’s like 3 in the morning, people gotta sleep! Speaking of sleep, do they sleep?!” We headed over to their friends house and they wanted a rematch on that race. I lost this time because I didn’t know where we were going (there’s always next time though!). Much to my surprise, the friends opened the door and were excited to see us! They didn’t even give me the look like “who’s this guy?”. They warmly welcomed me as if I were part of the family, just as the kids who greeted me when I first entered the community. The thing that’s even more strange that I failed to mention is that EVERYONE (and I mean everyone) knew my name! While at this home, we had a great time just like we did everywhere else. Finally, we all went to sleep; we all slept in this one large room. As I laid down, I just thought to myself, “This is what I’m talking about. This right here is the perfect love we’re supposed to have.” The scriptures said it right, there is no fear in love. Eventually, I drifted off to sleep. When I wake up, however, I’m in a different environment; an environment I am all to familiar with. I look around, and my friends I had just enjoyed all day with were nowhere to be found. As I realized what was going on, I almost came to tears. I awoke to bear witness to the unfortunate reality. My initial assumptions were correct, I was just dreaming of paradise…
