Yuui and Feng meet.
How will their encounter go?

I am falling through the air. The view from above is beautiful, with the turquoise ocean shining in the sun, the little gulls flying below me, and the greenery all around. Even falling down from miles and miles up into the air, the wind was warm and the whole world seemed colorful and enticing. The air currents pushed up against me lightly, and i spread my arms wide like an ice eagle, feeling like I’m flying.

It took me a moment to realize and remember that if I don’t do something in about less than 10 seconds, I would go splat on the ground and become human pudding.

…I kind of wonder how it would feel like to get all my bones broken in an instant like that? Maybe I’ll try that after I have enough magic to make a temporary life preserving candy, so my life would not be in danger… I really should. I would just teleport up into the air with the candy in my mouth, or drop myself down a steep cliff in the same manner. Hm.

But at this moment, the magician is still a human.

I sighed. What a bother…

Since I don’t want to exhaust my magic any more, I randomly grabbed took off one of the many shiny pins on the inside of my cape. It was a white one shaped like a feather, with elegant golden trimming around the edges. Perfect.

I clutched it tight in my right hand, and bit my left thumb, hard. I quickly smeared the blood onto the pin, and then released it into the air. Dove was always the tricky one… This had better work.

“Dove,” I chanted. “Fulfill your promise, your end of our contract now. In the name of the Seven Heavens, lend me your power!”

I closed my eyes as the pin let lose rays of blinding white light, and then in the next instant, I was atop a huge, puffy white feather, floating delicately in the air. I smiled, looking down at the sea shore below me, with pearly white sand and tall, branching trees.

“Rin,” I said softly. “Rin, can you see? You’ve always wanted to go somewhere where the sun was always shining and the water was warm. Isn’t it beautiful?”

I squinted and scanned the entire area with my hand shading my eyes. The sun here will really take some getting used to.
