Dreaming of flying in a hot air balloon in the wilderness.
Dreams, dreams and dreams!! We all dream once in a while. Some dreams are good, some hilarious and some, complete madness. Some people have gone ahead and tried to interpret dreams, with damning effects. I have done that myself, especially when the dream involves acquisition of hordes of money! But however much I read about dreams, the less I know what dreams are all about. But I keep on dreaming and reading, in the hope that one day, I can make some of my dreams a reality.
The best of my dreams are when I am flying. I have had dreams of falling into a dark unending hole. I have had ones where I just lift myself up from a standing position, and fly freely into the blue sky, and the feeling is wonderful. You kind of leave the ordinary surface and head skywards to purify your soul and receive the communion of infinite!! The air up there is so pure and fine, so bracing and delicious, and why not, that is the air the angels breathe! I am glad it is a dream, for if men could fly this easily, they would have already wasted the skies as they have done to the earth.
This early morning my dream world takes me to the Mara Serena lodge. It seems I will fly a hot air balloon. I am at the launching pad, and the balloon is owned by transworld. The crew is blowing air into this huge oval balloon. While this is going on, the pilot, a lovable athletic looking Canadian (I don’t know how this information came to my knowledge) is giving us the drill on safety precautions and what to expect once airborne. He calls himself JB.
Finally the gigantic balloon sits upright, and we hop in. this dream seems too real!! I have all my clients on board. The exact clients that I have been guiding on this safari. Next to me stands a friend of mine who had accompanied me on the safari. He has not changed in my dream as well!! Damn! Is this a dream or is it real? The pilot, Mr. JB is now heating the air in the balloon, from gas containers situated just above his head. Slowly but surely, the vessel lifts up silently into the air, and I almost faint with pleasure
Up, up, and up we go. I don’t want to look down to the sinful world. The feeling of ecstasy is about to overwhelm me. I look up into the clouds, now so near I can touch them. Suddenly I feel so holy. I want to make a prayer to the heavens. At this height, I am too close to the almighty, he might hear me better. Down bellow, I see for the first time, the shadow of the balloon gliding effortlessly on top of trees. I want to stay up here forever, but what goes up must come down, even in dreams.
When you have tested this flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned s
kyward. For there you have, don’t they?
been, and there you will want to return. Thanks JB for the making my dream a reality
