you may be interested to know that this book has since been published in san francisco, california and was upgraded from the original, 172-page bangkok edition (which you reviewed) to a much more extensive, 252-page book.

this newer u.s. edition includes 25 color photographs shot by both of us, plus an interview with a mama-san and three bar owners (thai, british and american).

meanwhile, the original bangkok edition has also since been translated into french, italian and german languages.
