Eagle eye 2008.
This 2008 film tells of a story about how a pair is caught up into trouble and is depicted as terrorists. Shia LaBeouf is portrayed as Jerry Shaw (one of the ‘pair’). His partner Rachel Holloman, (played by Michelle Monaghan) is a single parent whose son has just boarded the train to Washington DC from Chicago. It is after Jerry’s twin brother (Ethan) dies that strange things happen. To start with, Jerry finds that his normally empty bank account is full of money. He is confused but withdraws as much cash as he can carry. On reaching home he finds that it is full of all kinds of chemicals and weaponry that a terrorist might use. After his discovery his phone rings and an unknown female voice orders him to leave his apartment and run away as the FBI would arrive there in a matter of seconds. Jerry chooses to ignore the woman and is thus caught by the FBI.
However Jerry is soon able to set himself free and that mysterious woman sets him and the single mother on a mission, the aim of which Jerry and Rachael do not know. It seems that the caller has every piece of technology under her control so even when they wish to evade the caller they are unable to do so. Especially Rachael, who just has to cooperate if she wishes to see her son alive.
The nature of that voice is the central mystery of the picture. Who is it that has been troubling two ordinary, harmless citizens? And what does she want from them?
This 120 minute movie (approx.) is essentially all stunt work. It involves relentless action: chases involving planes, trains, automobiles, buses. Eagle Eye is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action and violence and for language.
