Do you remember the days were you could go out for a nice meal with a chance to have a stress free time.

The days were things like going out for a peaceful meal seem so far away now, you cant even remember them. They slip from your memory with a sigh as your little one has just thrown a chip at you. How did this happen to you again.

The search for the high chair begins and when you do find one it needs a clean as the previous occupant had mash and peas. Swapping the high chair for a another, because after all you came to have someone else do the cleaning for a change. You set up the high chair. That’s a feet in its self, placing your little one in it. They suddenly develop wriggling leg syndrome and both legs end up on one side of the leg divider leaving you to start doing a merry dance of lift up and grab their legs.

Once they are happily sat down you get your self sorted. Now the high chair is two far away from the table a quick tug and they are were you want them to be. Moving all menus and table condiments to the other side as they love to reach and grab anything that is in their eye line.

Ordering your food is the easy part its when it gets to the table it becomes another tricky part. Your little one has their bottle and will insist its a drum stick, constant bangs on the table while your letting their food cool down. You make a start on your food which is hot at this point. Cries of protest arise from your little one as they munch on their own food. They call out for your attention but you want to eat you’re food. You stop what you are doing to tell your little one to stop it for the fifth time. They look at you and start to giggle thinking this is a good game and by the time you go back to your food it’s cold.

Your little one has just about finished their food and to let you know they are full and don’t want any more they decide to tell you by throwing what they don’t want at you to grab your attention. This only happens when you are out I find. At the end of the day they do grow out of the high chair so you have the running round and constant trips to the loo on their own and forgetting the way back they take so long to contend with next.

that is so true, unfortunately this is why we often just order the food and take it home to eat.
