Here are some reasons why I dislike my plumber so much.

Unless you are handy, at some point you may have to hire a plumber. There are many well-qualified, skilled plumbers. Unfortunately, some plumbers are master disasters. Here are eight reasons why I hate my plumber that worked on my home:

  1. My plumber charged me $50.00 to come over to my house before stepping a foot inside. Once inside, he told me that he would charge me only $100.00 per hour for labor.
  2. My plumber immediately said that my faucet needed replacing and that he could install a new one right on the spot. The price was a steal at $450.
  3. My plumber said that my dishwasher was beyond repair. He said that he could install a new dishwasher for the low price of $350. For an extra $200, he could bring the new dishwasher over to my home.
  4. My plumber said that he would have to use a snake to clear the pipes. He actually took a live boa constrictor to do the job.
  5. My plumber said that I was missing a wax ring for my toilet. He could install this piece for $100. The part would only cost $25.00. It turns out that the wax ring costs $2.00 at the hardware store.
  6. My plumber managed to break the main water valve during the course of the job
  7. My plumber said that my sump pump needed replacing. He could do the installation for the low price of $500.00. He was so generous that he agreed to throw in the sump pump for free. I only overpaid by about $200.00.
  8. My plumber installed a defective pipe. I had enough water in my basement to launch a ship. He insisted that he was not at fault. He said that it was divine intervention.

Plumber’s are like auto mechanics, they think they can rip a person off because most people don’t know much about these things. Their not all like that, but just a few can give the whole bunch a bad name. Thanks for sharing.

When you hire a plumber, electrician, or painter, ask a salesperson at a local paint or hardware store. They usually have access to people who do good jobs.

The job is hard and thankless, and the cost of insurance, trucks and people is huge. So go off with the crying about costs. Do it yourself if its so easy and cheap!!!!!
