Unless you are handy, at some point you may have to hire a plumber. There are many well-qualified, skilled plumbers. Unfortunately, some plumbers are master disasters. Here are eight reasons why I hate my plumber that worked on my home:
- My plumber charged me $50.00 to come over to my house before stepping a foot inside. Once inside, he told me that he would charge me only $100.00 per hour for labor.
- My plumber immediately said that my faucet needed replacing and that he could install a new one right on the spot. The price was a steal at $450.
- My plumber said that my dishwasher was beyond repair. He said that he could install a new dishwasher for the low price of $350. For an extra $200, he could bring the new dishwasher over to my home.
- My plumber said that he would have to use a snake to clear the pipes. He actually took a live boa constrictor to do the job.
- My plumber said that I was missing a wax ring for my toilet. He could install this piece for $100. The part would only cost $25.00. It turns out that the wax ring costs $2.00 at the hardware store.
- My plumber managed to break the main water valve during the course of the job
- My plumber said that my sump pump needed replacing. He could do the installation for the low price of $500.00. He was so generous that he agreed to throw in the sump pump for free. I only overpaid by about $200.00.
- My plumber installed a defective pipe. I had enough water in my basement to launch a ship. He insisted that he was not at fault. He said that it was divine intervention.
