There is only ONE good one.

Once upon a time, there was an awesome energy drink and it was available in two colors.  Both colors tasted incredible.  One was orange and the other was red.  What were those flavors?  Who knows.  The drink was Uncle Larry’s and the 16 ounce cans were designed with a skull and crossed bones.  Nice.  While the design was lacking, the taste was incredible.  Why is Uncle Larry’s energy drink no longer around?  Good question.

However, at this time there is still one great energy drink.  The other energy drinks are not.  They quiet simply, are not.  Some are tolerable.  Some were just affordable.  Most of them are downright awful.

5-Hour Energy is a two ounce beverage that boasts “0 sugar and 0 net carbs.”  What 5-Hour does not tell you is that it tastes awful and is very expensive.  Recently, 5-Hour has introduced other flavors.  Oh my!  The ensuing tremors are a real treat too!

Amp Energy is a 16 ounce Mountain Dew beverage.  It tastes a lot like Mountain Dew.  Hence, if you like that flavor, it is some good times in a can.  If you do not, then you may want to abstain from Amp Energy.  Amp is one of the most affordable of the energy beverages.

Full Throttle is 16 ounces of yawn.  While it is normally one of the most affordable of energy drinks, it also has a bland taste.

Lost Energy Drink is a Monster product.  While affordable, the taste is barely tolerable.  Flavors include Perfect 10, Five-O and Caddillac.  The later is the one that the company suggests you add alcohol to.

Monster Energy has been around since 2002 and is a tall, 16 ounces of abstainable liquid.   Monster offers quite the variance of horrible flavors.  Seriously, it’s impressive.  Monster also seems very popular.  It’s stunning really.  However, Monster is also one of the most affordable of caffeine loaded morning buzzers.

NOS comes in sixteen ounce cans and has a rather bland essence.  It is one of the most expensive routes to alertness.

Red Bull is hands down, the best energy drink ever.  It tastes like a liquid sweet tart and is offered in a variance of can sizes, as a two ounce shot and as an 8.4 ounce cola.  The cola is rather boring and somewhat expensive for its 8 ounce size.  You are free to choose the cola or the Simply Cola.

Rockstar offers up ten different flavors and are normally one of the most affordable of breakfast juice’s.  The taste is bad, but the price is right.

When you have risen for the day and are wondering how you will spend your convenience store bucks, your a.m.  purchase is sometimes dependent upon the number of the aforementioned bucks, which you clutch in tired eyed hands.  In that case, go for the bland.  Otherwise, you are in for a uvula stroking bad time.
