I just noticed that the plot is much the same. Both Luke Skywalker and Eragon grow up in an Evil Empire. Both get lead to rebels by an old man. Both get taught by and Elder.

For Luke Skywalker the Old man is Obi Wan Kenobi. While for Eragon it’s Brom

The elder for Luke Skywalker is Yoda while for Eragon it’s Oromis.

Eragon = Luke Skywalker

Murtagh = Darth Vader

Galbatorix = The Emperor

Brom =Obi Wan Kenobi

Oromis = Yoda

Roran = Han Solo

Katrina = Princess Leia

Varden = Rebels

There are much similarites however Paolini didn’t rip off Star War’s completely.
