Erin – The Michelangelo of Cosmetology

I met a woman recently.,Her name is Erin.  She is the most remarkable woman I ever met. She is a miracle giver. She touches lives in a very special way. She is an artist.   In her art she elevates peoples’ self-esteem and brings brightness to their lives.  She touches their hearts with kind words and their souls with a comb and scissors.

She takes a head of hair that insists on having its own way and transform it into well-behaved magnificence.  In so doing, she also transforms the person into a vision of beauty.  Her artistic talents go far beyond a simple cutting of hair.  Her artistic talents border the world of miracles.

Imagine, if you will,  Michelangelo.  He looked at a mass of formless marble and saw David.  He took that piece of marble and brought what he saw in his heart to life.  This is the mark of a true artist – the ability to allow others to see with his (or her) eyes.

This is what Erin does.  This is the kind of artist she is.  She takes an unruly mane and creates a masterpiece, every bit as beautiful and remarkable as Michelangelos’ David.  She sees a person walk in, self-esteem dragging behind, and she sees, as Michelangelo did, the creation it will become.

Dawning scissors and comb, she begins.  She caresses hair, much as Michelangelo caressed marble.  When finished, she will have created a thing of beauty every bit as awesomely magnificent as David.  She will watch that person walk out the door, head held high, self-confidence even higher.  She will know that person is ready to face the world because she IS a true artist. 

Picture Michelangelo, looking at his finished masterpiece, David.  Feel the pride he must’ve felt knowing that this was his creation.  Now picture Erin, looking at her finished masterpiece, a beautiful creation of hair!  Know the pride she feels knowing that this is her creation, and it is magnificent!
