I love my parents.

I am very, very fortunate to be where I am today.

I have so much in my life that I wouldn’t have if it weren’t for my incredible parents helping me along the crazy path that I’ve decided to take. Even though my mom makes me clean my room and my dad made me short.

Seriously though, none of us treat our parents the way we should. We yell, we fight, we disrespect them. Yeah, they piss us off, but have you ever stepped back and looked at how much shit they take in stride? I think if anyone ever spoke to me or acted the way I do to my parents, just once, I’d probably kill them. Straight up ice-pick-through-the-face status. But my parents have been taking it for almost 16 years now.

They were there when it all started, and I guarantee they’ll be there at the end. We’ve barely seen life yet, and I know without a doubt that the trials and tribulations don’t get any less frequent or severe.

I don’t understand why they do what they do. I don’t think anyone will until we’ve got kids of our own.

This is also a personal promise of mine to be better to my parents. Specifically, my mom. I love her to death, even if I don’t show it all the time. Here’s to you mom, I love you. Also, I didn’t have any money for a present. So I got you this…triond..post..

Just some things to think about. Reblog if you love yo mom<3
