Summer 2008 has passed: A new season has arrived.

Another summer has passed, Autumn has begun. The new school year has started to some students chagrin.

The weather has gotten cooler, leaves have changed hues. They began to slowly fall, blanketing the earth.

Holiday shopping is beginning. Store shelves are full of Halloween candy and costumes.

Children are deciding what their costumes will be, and some adults too. Holiday parties are being planned.

Ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and vampires will fill the streets on October 31 Walking from house to house to get their sweets, or perhaps attending a party or two.

Thanksgiving, too is just around the corner. Thanksgiving was always my favorite holiday. It is about family and eating not so materialistic as some holidays have become.

You also take that day of the year to think of all the things you have to be thankful for, whereas the rest of the year you are trying to worry about the things you need from day to day.

Holiday baking begins as well, I know I like to give baked goods to other people sometimes that can be better than buying expensive gifts, it can mean more to the people receiving the goodies.
